About the courses

Since June 2009 XBRL comes with a new functionality that moves data quality into the another era. With XBRL Formula 1.0 it is possible to define logical and mathematical relations expressing sophisticated rules and checks between business concepts. To help your institution prepare for this new functionality BR-AG would like to offer a workshop describing the idea of formulae on exercises and real cases as well as explaining on implementation of formulae into new or existing taxonomies and business reporting solutions.

Course objectives

  • explain origins and underlying requirements,

  • describe general scope/architecture and technical aspects (variables, filters, formulae and assertions resources and arcs),

  • present samples referring to most common use cases and real examples based on chosen taxonomies (COREP, FINREP, IFRS, US-GAAP, etc),

  • present implementation aspects (formulae in business reporting chain/platform).
