The Chilean Securities and Insurance Supervisor (SVS) receives first XBRL reports

The Chilean SVS is going to receive first reports in XBRL format in June 2009 following the successful implementation of enhanced financial information reporting system for Chilean listed companies.

Although XBRL format is not obligatory (companies may report in Microsoft Excel format and PDF) many filers decided to choose XBRL. Reports are can be accessed from here (Spanish only).
