The Polish Ministry of Finance in cooperation with the Association “XBRL Polska” organized a meeting to start the discussion on possible Standard Business Reporting (SBR) Project in Poland.

 

The meeting was held at the premises of the Ministry of Finance on October 9, 2009. Representatived of institutions that gather data from companies and individuals, inter alia: the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, the National Bank of Poland, the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, the Central Statistical Office and the Service Center for Chancellery of the Prime Minister analyzed complexity of filing obligations..

 

Discussion on possibilities of reducing the reporting burden was supported by representatives of the Dutch Ministry of Finance and the Nationale Bank van België who shared their experience from successful implementation of SBR and similar initiatives.

 

As a result of the meeting it is planned to set up a working group on standarization and harmonization of business reporting in Poland operating under umbrella of the Ministry of Finance.
