About the courses

The COREP and FINREP XBRL trainings provide comprehensive knowledge on electronic reporting of capital adequacy, solvency ratio and financial institution reporting standards. Based on international COREP and FINREP XBRL taxonomies (developed by the C-EBS XBRL Network) these courses enable understanding and application of 21st century supervisory reporting of Basel II and IFRSs for financial institutions. Delivered by members of the C-EBS XBRL Network and top XBRL Basel II and IFRS experts our trainings and workshops will help your organisation implement COREP and FINREP XBRL reporting. It may also be helpful for insurance companies which consider to implement Solvency II based on XBRL in the nearest future.

Course objectives

  • explain electronic supervisory reporting using XBRL in a comprehensible manner,

  • introduce and explain common XBRL terms,

  • present scope and architecture of COREP and FINREP taxonomies including their dimensional breakdowns and business rules validation,

  • enable creation of COREP and FINREP XBRL reports by means of hands-on exercises,

  • teach how to adjust scope of COREP and FINREP extension taxonomies based on case-studies,

  • prepare for implementation of COREP and FINREP reporting in internal organisation systems,

  • indicate differences between COREP and FINREP information models (both on national and European level),

  • explain relations between IFRS GP and FINREP information models.
