Mateusz Hojda
CIO
Mateusz Hojda is a Chief Information Officer of the Business Reporting – Advisory Group where he has contributed to multiple XBRL project. His experience includes International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) XBRL projects, XBRL reporting frameworks for financial institutions in Europe (FINREP) and management of XBRL projects for securities and insurance supervision authorities. His primary domain of expertise focuses on processes modeling and requirements analysis.
Mateusz also serves as a Secretary General of the Association XBRL Poland, where he supports liaison with national and international institutions and advises on XBRL implementation for public organisations.
Previously Mateusz was a project member of “XBRL in Europe” initiative, where he was responsible for popularization and XBRL awareness raising activities in the European countries. “XBRL in Europe” contributed to establishment of the Polish XBRL jurisdiction and supported various European projects and institutions.
Mateusz graduated from the Poznan University of Economics where he received Master’s degree and from the Technische Universität Freiberg where he received Diplom-Kaufmann degree.
Bartosz Ochocki
CTO
Bartosz Ochocki (Chief Technology Officer) is an XBRL expert specializing in development of XBRL taxonomies, designing electronic business reporting frameworks and implementing XBRL reporting solutions. Bartosz’s experience comprises of leadership of trainings and XBRL advisory and consultancy services for public institutions, regulators, software vendors and reporting entities worldwide. His knowledge contributed to many projects including Standard Business Reporting in Australia, COREP (Basel II) and FINREP (IFRS extension for financial institutions) XBRL taxonomies extension and implementation at the National Bank of Poland. Bartosz has also counseled commercial banks including HSBC, Societe Generale and WestLB on COREP and FINREP implementation and is a supporter to the COREP and FINREP XBRL CEBS working groups. Bartosz has led a number of projects implementing new technologies of XBRL including Formulas, Versioning and Rendering.
Formerly Bartosz was a Member of the XBRL Team at the International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC) Foundation.
Bartosz graduated from the Poznan University of Economics (Management Department with majors in Capital Investments and Corporate Financial Strategies) where he received Master’s degree in economics and continues his education as PhD candidate.
Bartosz is a speaker at multiple XBRL International conferences and XBRL workshops organized by the Committee of European Banking Supervisors.
Michal Piechocki
CEO, Chairman of the Board
Michal Piechocki is a Chief Executive of the Business Reporting – Advisory Group leading its global operations and advising international governmental and supervisory institutions on adoption of XBRL. His expertise contributed to projects in Europe, Australia, Asia and North and South America.
Michal serves as an At-Large Member at the XBRL International Steering Committee and as a Member of the XBRL Quality Review Team (IASC Foundation). Michal is a Taxonomy Working Group Chair at the IMA (Institute of Management Accountants) XBRL Standing Committee.. He is also a judge in several Polish and international IFRS and XBRL related competitions and a Member of the IBM Data Governance Council.
Prior to his leadership of BR-AG Michal worked as a member of the International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC) Foundation XBRL Team developing the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) XBRL taxonomy and related projects.
Michal graduated from the Poznan University of Economics (Management Department with majors in Capital Investments and Corporate Financial Strategies) where he received Master’s degree in economics and continues his education as a PhD Candidate at the Technische Universitat Freiberg, Germany. Michal is an author of a number of publications and books on the XBRL standard and related topics and a speaker at various international IFRS and XBRL conferences.
