BR-AG conducts Training Session at the 19th XBRL International Conference in Paris
We are pleased to inform that Business Reporting – Advisory Group conducted taxonomy development training at the 19th XBRL International Conference in Paris.
This was the 6th time after Philadelphia, Munich, Vancouver, Eindhoven and Washington DC when BR-AG and XBRL International cooperated together in order to provide high quality classes on creation of XBRL taxonomies.
The conference hosted by XBRL France was focused on the role of interactive data in enhancing transparency of business reporting on the global scale and was reinforced by real examples of benefits of XBRL implementation. The conference leitmotiv: "Better Reporting with XBRL: a Catalyst for Better Regulation" was accompanied with eight tracks and four training session.
Business Reporting – Advisory Group was pleased to lead the training two-day session titled "Designing better taxonomies" whose main objective was to transfer knowledge and top-rated experience of XBRL taxonomy development and engineering to professionals from the area of IT, accounting and data analysis. Among twenty participants that attended the training there were representatives of governments, central banks, stock exchanges software vendors, consultants, auditors and academic community form ten countries and all continents.
The session introduced key concepts of XBRL taxonomy and instance document architecture and presented taxonomy development related topics including hands-on exercises. According to questionnaires gathered it was highly rated despite tight agenda.
